Dear Friends,
Today the Missouri legislature convened for their annual veto session. HB 116, the so-called “Right to Work” bill was brought to a vote, but the legislature failed to overturn Governor Nixon’s veto by a vote of 96 – 63!
Protect MO Families thanks you for your hard work this summer. Because of your efforts, we made our voices heard and stopped greedy out-of-state corporations and CEOs from passing laws that would harm Missouri’s hard-working families by lowering wages, reducing benefits, and lowering workplace safety standards. However, we are certain that our opponents will not stop. We must continue to work together to protect Missouri families.
Protect MO Families will continue our efforts to protect Missouri families from greedy out-of-state corporations and CEOs.
Look for updates soon about steps we can take to protect Missouri’s working families in the future by electing legislators who will put Missouri’s middle class first.
