Election of Local Lodge Officers - New Election Information

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

     On November 10, 2023, the Local 83 Election Committee counted the returned ballots, but
unfortunately only 11% of the ballots were received. Members began to call explaining their
marked ballots were returned to them marked as "Not Deliverable As Addressed" or "No Such
Number." After reviewing these objections and following the guidelines outlined in the
International Boilermakers Constitution (Article 25.8.2), President Fairley has instructed the
Local 83 Election Committee to hold a new election.

     The same nominated and accepted candidates will remain on the ballot. Please note your first
ballot is now void, and a new ballot will be mailed as soon as possible. The mailing will include
instructions and guidelines for the new election ballots.

     We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this electoral process,
and we strongly encourage you to exercise your right to vote by taking the time to cast your
ballot.
